Tottenham ready to sign £72.5m Juventus star after recent development

Tottenham could sign £72.5million Juventus ace Paulo Dybala just over a year after failing to sign him from the Serie A side, according to reports. Spurs tried to sign Dybala in 2019 but were unable to get a deal over the line. The Argentinean playmaker opted to stay at the club last summer despite hefty interest from elsewhere, and was rewarded with playing time by Maurizio Sarri. Despite last season's successes, this season Dybala played just ten times in all competitions. And now, it seems he could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena, with reports suggesting contract negotiations have hit a snag. However, Todofichajes claims talks have broken down between the two parties, leading to Dybala requesting a transfer. Spurs are reportedly eager to sign him in the summer transfer window, but will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain. Next summer, Jose Mourinho's could find themselves two men short, with Gareth Bale heading back to Real Madrid at the end of his loan as things stand, and there being no mandatory future fee in Carlos Vinicius’ loan deal.
