Tottenham Hotspur linked with January move for £40m Ajax star

Tottenham Hotspur are linked with a move for Ajax Amsterdam starlet Frenkie de Jong in the January transfer window. According to reports. Spurs scouts have visitied the Amsterdam Arena to check out the highly-rated midfielder. The 21-year-old joined Ajax from Willem II in 2015 and has impressed in his 37 first team appearances for the Dutch giants. Before joining Ajax Frenkie de Jong has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund but the Dutch club could use the competition to drive up his price with some of Europe's best clubs lurking. De Jong is reportedly worth £40million, so Tottenham will have to cash in on the star.
