Tottenham hero Gary Lineker names club Harry Kane should leave Spurs for

Tottenham hero Gary Lineker has jokingly suggested Harry Kane should join another of his former clubs in Leicester City.  Kane has refused to rule out future club exit. He has spoken out about his disappointment at so far neglecting to win trophies at Spurs. Asked whether he would be at Tottenham for the rest of his career, Kane replied: “It’s one of those things, I couldn’t say yes, I couldn’t say no. I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs. But it’s one of those things – I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it.” “I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, I want to get better, I want to become one of the top, top players,” Kane told Jamie Redknapp. “It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever – but it’s not a no either.”  Lineker suggested Kane should move to Leicester if he wants to win major honours. "Well it's understandable [that Kane may want to leave]," Lineker told talkSPORT. "He's a top-class player, he's one of the best strikers in world football and there's bound to be a degree of frustration with certainly the recent progress of Spurs. "It's not easy, we've seen it with Arsenal, when you build a ground it can kind of slow you down in terms of your development and that's possibly happening with Tottenham but he's just being very honest really. "He's basically saying if they don't go on to win things, because every player wants to win things in their career, I didn't win too much myself, but it would be unthinkable for someone of Harry Kane's stature that he didn't win anything in his entire career. "So that's understandable and you can't really criticise him too much for having that view. He's been there a long time at the club, he's been brilliant at the club, and he might well stay there. He might have to move to Leicester at some point to actually really challenge for honours." Source: Express
