Tottenham handed Erik Lamela and Jan Vertonghen injury update ahead of clash with Everton

Tottenham have confirmed that forward Erik Lamela will miss the upcoming Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday. The 27-year-old has suffered a thigh injury and was out of the squad for the Liverpool game. Another player that is likely to miss the match at Goodison Park, is Jan Vertonghen. He has got a hamstring injury and his appearance in the game is in doubt, and Toby Alderweireld may couple up with Davinson Sanchez in the centre of defence.
