FC Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong has named Steven Bergwijn as the toughest opponent he has faced.
De Jong joined Barcelona from Ajax in the summer of 2019, while Bergwijn joined Tottenham from PSV during this January transfer window.
In a live chat with the official website of FC Barcelona, De Jong said: “It is difficult, because of course I don’t only play against one player during a match. But at Ajax I was sometimes used as a defender and we played against PSV. Steven Bergwijn is then the most difficult opponent for me.”
