Tottenham Hotspur have submitted their 25-man squad for the upcoming season to the Premier League, and surprisingly, goalkeeper and former captain Hugo Lloris has been included in the selection by manager Ange Postecoglou.
The squad registration had to be finalized before the Wednesday deadline, and it must remain unchanged until the January transfer window. Spurs had to make adjustments due to the departure of 13 players this summer, including Harry Kane, ensuring they meet the foreign (17) and homegrown (a minimum of eight) player requirements.
Postecoglou's squad could only comprise 25 players aged over 21, while younger talents like summer signings Ashley Phillips and Alejo Veliz, as well as Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie, have been listed separately under the U21s category.
Initially, it was suggested that Lloris, who expressed his desire for a new challenge after the previous season, might not be registered in the squad. However, this assumption proved incorrect as the World Cup-winning goalkeeper has yet to secure a new club at this stage.
