Tottenham close to signing first deal of January transfer window

Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes is travelling to London to seal a move to Tottenham. Fernandes is close to joining Spurs on an 18-months loan deal. The deal with the 21-year-old is expected to be finalized on Monday or on Tuesday. West Ham have also been linked with Fernandes, but the player opted to join Spurs.
