Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho tipped to sanction Tanguy Ndombele transfer in swap deal with Barcelona

Former Tottenham and England striker Darren Bent thinks, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho will consider including Tanguy Ndombele in a swap deal with Barcelona in the summer transfer window. Ndombele's future at Tottenham is uncertain. The 23-year-old joined the club for a record fee of £65million from Lyon last summer. But has only made 27 appearances this season. Mourinho publicly scrutinised Ndombele this season, who has struggled with injuries and fitness issues this campaign. Bent thinks Ndombele is a talented player, but he also thinks “something just doesn’t add up” about the midfielder's failure to impress. “With Ndombele, we know full well that he’s got a lot of ability on the ball, he’s powerful, but for whatever reason he can’t play back-to-back games or he can’t play 90 minutes – something just doesn’t add up,” Bent told Football Insider. “You wouldn’t say you’re losing one of you most influential players right now. Talent-wise, you might be but we don’t see it often enough. “If that was the case that Barcelona wanted him in a swap deal, I’m looking at that as Mourinho and thinking: ‘This might suit us down to the ground.'” Barcelona have been linked with Ndombele this summer and club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has admitted the Catalan giants will consider swap deal this summer. According to Sky Sports, Barca have offered Spurs the chance to sign centre-back Samuel Umtiti and right-back Nelson Semedo in exchange for Ndombele. Source: Express
