Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has made a surprising revelation about Lewis Hamilton. Wolff has claimed, that the topic of George Russell's Mercedes F1 replacement performance has not come up in talks about a new deal for the British driver. Seven-time world champion Hamilton is yet to sign a deal with Mercedes for the upcoming 2021 season. His contract with the Silver Arrows expired at the end of last year. Team principal Wolff revealed about the negotiations, according to Autosport: “We never played the George Russell card. He did incredibly well and will one day be in a top car, but our long-standing partnership is not at all about making any threatening gestures. We know we want to race together. And now we have to negotiate the contract.”
