Toto Wolff makes Red Bull claim after Silverstone race

Max Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton in the second Grand Prix at Silverstone. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff gives Red Bull Racing a compliment after their victory. However, he seems to hint at an improvement in tyre management himself. "We got beaten fair and square by Red Bull, and hats off to them again for the job they did", Wolff starts his look ahead at Toto Talks Spain. "We were clearly the only ones regarding blistering tyres and it was important to find out what exactly caused it and what we can do to mitigate it in the future. Despite the fact that the team has only had three days since the second Grand Prix at Silverstone, Wolff hints at improvement with his team: "We used the last few days to build a better understanding of the problem and translate that into ways to address it in the future." According to Wolff, the heat on the circuit in Barcelona will play a role again during the race. He says Mercedes' performance seems stronger in colder conditions.
