Top 5 Liverpool players returning from loan

  The 2020-21 season is coming to an end and the summer transfer window is getting closer. Liverpool will be looking to make some signings after having struggled with several injuries. The Reds had a difficult season and they are currently 6th in the league table with 6 points behind 4th placed Leicester City. The Reds have just four games to bounce back and try to finish in the top four until the season ends. And while they are fighting for a top-four spot, let's take a look at the Reds players that are on-loan but will return to Anfield in the summer. The Reds have nine players currently playing on loan. Let's take a look and see who are the top 5 performers.

5. Takumi Minamino

He scored his first goal for the Saints when they faced Newcastle in February. So far he has made 7 Premier League appearances for Southampton in which he has scored 2 goals. His loan contract expires in June 2021.

4. Taiwo Awoniyi

Awoniyi joined Union Berlin on loan during the summer transfer window for a year. The 23-year-old has been with Liverpool since 2015, however, he has mostly spent his career out on loan. During the 2020-21 season, the center-forward has made 20 appearances in which he has scored 5 goals and provided 4 assists.

3.Sheyi Ojo

The 23-year-old was loaned to Championship side Cardiff City in the summer transfer window for a year. He scored his first goal for Cardiff in October when they celebrated a 1-0 win over Preston North End. Overall he has made 41 Championship appearances in which he has scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists.

2. Harry Wilson

For the 2020/2021 season, the 24-year-old was loaned to Cardiff City. He made his debut in October and scored his first goal three days later against Bournemouth. The right-winger has made overall 37 Championship appearances in which he has scored 7 goals and provided 12 assists.

1.Harvey Elliott

Elliott joined Blackburn Rovers on loan in the summer transfer window. The 18-year-old has been a Liverpool since 2019 as he joined them from Fulham.
