Amid growing speculations about Tottenham captain Harry Kane's move away from the Spurs, the club will need to look for alternative options to replace their star player.
Bayern Munich's attempts to secure Harry Kane's services have faced two rejections so far, while Tottenham Hotspur finds themselves engaged in a battle to retain their all-time leading goal scorer. With only one year remaining on his contract with Spurs, the 29-year-old seems determined to depart from the club, whether it happens this summer or the next.
Although the English striker has been strongly linked with a move to the German champions, his parent club's chairman, Daniel Levy, remains steadfast in his refusal to sell. However, Levy's determination could be put to the test if Bayern Munich submits further bids for Kane's services.
Over the course of past few days several strikers have been linked with the North London club. Following are the top four candidates to replace Harry Kane at Tottenham.
Ivan Toney
Ange Postecoglou's side have turned their attention to Brentford star Ivan Toney as a possible replacement for their star captain. Toney has established himself as a skilled forward and acquired a tally of 20 goals in the past Premier League season before being banned by FIFA due to betting addiction. Interestingly, the 27-year-old comes third in the list of top scorers in 2022/23 PL season, only falling behind Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.
Reportedly, the Brentford star was previously suggested to chairman Daniel Levy by former Spurs manager David Pleat. Pleat envisioned Toney as an ideal player to offer crucial respite for Harry Kane in specific matches and potentially assume the mantle from the England captain in the future. However, when the recommendation was made, the Englishman was not available.

Dusan Vlahovic
Another candidate is Dusan Vlahovic from Serie A giants Juventus. Vlahovic is currently under the radar of several Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United. However, it doesn't interfere the Spurs from entering the race for him.
Following his transfer from Fiorentina to Juventus in January 2022, Vlahovic's initial performances at the Allianz Stadium showed promise. However, he has struggled to meet the high expectations placed upon him in Turin. In contrast, during his time at Fiorentina, the Serbian forward had gained recognition as a prolific goal scorer. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old has encountered difficulties in replicating his previous success at the Bianconeri.

Randal Kolo Muani
Manchester United's transfer target Randal Kolo Muani has emerged as another candidate for Tottenham, according to RMC Sport. Meanwhile, the French outlet L’Équipe reports that PSG, previously keen to sign the Frenchman have pulled out of the race for him in frustration. The young France international's parent club in Germany is currently in talks to persuade him extend his stay at Eintracht.
Kolo Muani has emerged as one of the most promising young number nines in football. The talented forward showcased his abilities at Eintracht last season and has also earned a place in Didier Deschamps' national team, where he delivered notable performances during the 2022 World Cup.

Jonathan David
And last but not least, the Spurs' shortlist to replace Kane includes Jonathan David from Ligue 1 club Lille. The Canadian forward has a remaining two years on his contract with the French club, where he has achieved an impressive record of 58 goals in 136 appearances for the club. Valued at approximately £50 million, David may consider a transfer offer if the financial terms are favorable.
While replacing the likes of Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur's record goalscorer and an icon for England, is undoubtedly challenging, David possesses several desirable attributes. The Spurs' new manager Ange Postecoglou is said to be a fan of the 23-year-old.
