Pep Guardiola will definitely go down in history as one of the best football mangers ever.
Replacing such legend would be beyond difficult.
Guardiola’s current contract at Manchester City expires in the summer of 2023. The Catalan has had an amazing years of success with the Cityzens and it might be unlikely for them to not extend Guardiola’s stay for many more years.
However, no one knows what can happen, and with the most difficut task of replacing Guardiola, City would have so much to think.
So here are three candidates that could replace Pep Guardiola, if he leaves the Cityzens after his contract expires.
Pochettino currently manages Paris Saint-Germain, however, talks are non-stop talks of him taking charge of another club.
The Argentinian successfully coached Tottenham for five years and led them to the Champions League final.
Pochettino is very familiar with the Premier League football and could make it into the City’s shortlist for ever replacing Guardiola.
Bayern Munich’s manager has impressed football world with his success at RB Leipzig at such a young age. He is just 34.
Nagelsmann’s successful spell earned him a job at Bayern Munich.
So for replacing Guardiola, the German could be a good choice, also taking account the fact that they both managed Bayern.
Arteta, who currently manages Arsenal, was an assistant manager at City under Guardiola.
The Spaniard knows almost everything a coach needs to know in order to manage City.
Arteta had quite a rough time at Arsenal, however, things seem to falling into their place as he managed to bring Gunners back to their winning ways.
More years at Arsenal, could make Arteta a perfect replacement for Guardiola at City.
