The year of 2021 has definitely been full of amazing and unforgettable football matches.
Due to coronavirus pandemic many sporting events have been postponed in 2020 and were set to take place in 2021.
The year is close to it’s end and it is a perfect time to remember the most exciting football games, that made all the fans once again believe in the magic of football.
The new 2021/22 season has definitely started greatly with many memorable games already been played.
One of them is definitely the highly-anticipated clash between Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City.
The annual Jurgen Klopp vs Pep Guardiola masterclass that everyone is waiting for. And this year as well they didn’t disappoint.
The clash was as epic as expected with the sides were unable to find a winner.
Following a goalless first-half Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the 59th minute, however, Phil Foden equalised the score.
After Mohamed Salah’s goal, Kevin De bruyne equalised the score once again within 5 minutes.
It was an epic game the Premier League fans will remember from this year.
This was surely one of the most memorable and fascinating games of 2021.
Last year’s Champions League finalists met once again and showed what the high class game is about.
Kylian Mbappe netted a brace, while Marquinhos also scored to give PSG advantage after Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller’s goals.
The game was a must-watch, which sort of predicted the more eye-catching second leg game.
Even though Bayern won 1-0 the second leg, the Parisian side progressed into the semi-finals to face Manchester City.
Perhaps, one of the weirdest games this season so far. Bayern Munich are the best club in Bundesliga, and barely anyone suggests the opposite.
However, no club is assured to not have a bad game and lose 5-0.
And Borussia Monchengladbach became the team to beat the reigning Bundesliga champions.
Doubles from Ramy Bensebaini and Breel Embolo, as well as Kouadio Kone’s opener handed their side a significant 5-0 thrashing win against Bayern Munich.
