'To be honest' - Trustworthy insider delivers transfer claim at Aston Villa

Dean Jones has expressed his thoughts on Aston Villa and their potential search for a centre-back before the January transfer window closes. Villa currently have only 3 natural central defenders available - Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa and Kortney Hause. According to Jones, defence is not the only position Steven Gerrard needs to cover. Speaking to This Is Futbol, the insider said.

“To be honest, I don’t think they see it as an absolute must. I just think that Gerrard wants it as a safety barrier.”
