'To be fair' - West Ham star breaks silence on Newcastle United's January transfers

West Ham's Michail Antonio says Newcastle United 'spent well' during the January transfer window. Most of the newly signed players were either British or with much Premier League experience. Only Bruno Guimarães was the player without having experience in England before. Speaking to the Footballer’s Football podcast. the Hammers' forward has claimed that the Magpies ‘could have easily gone a bit crazy’ last month, but they didn’t and he praised them for that.

“To be fair, I felt like you (speaking to Callum Wilson) guys spent well this January,” said Antonio.   “You could have easily splashed the cash and gone a bit crazy.   “You have found experienced Premier League players and in a situation that you are in, that’s why you kind of need.”
