Timothy Fosu-Mensah opens up on his Manchester United future

Manchester United player Timothy Fosu-Mensah has revealed he is focused on playing at Old Trafford after his long-term absence from the club due to injury. Fosu-Mensah has spent the last two seasons playing on loan at Fulham and Crystal Palace. He had to be out of the game during the last nine months, suffering a cruciate injury. The 22-year-old made his return for the Under-23s in the 2-1 win against Newcastle on Friday. The Dutchman still could find his playing minutes limited in order to get fully fit for the game. Asked about another possible loan move after his comeback from a serious injury, Fosu-Mensah said: "I am focusing on being here, we have a lot of games. It’s good to be at Manchester United." Meanwhile, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given an update on Fosu-Mensah and Eric Bailly's future at the club. He told MUTV:"Eric (Bailly) and Tim (Fosu-Mensah) are going to play in the reserves, so that will be a positive for them. They have been waiting for a long time and training for a while now, so it will be good to see them in the proper kit. That's what they need, and they need that for their own confidence because it is a mental hurdle going from being injured to training. Then it is a bigger leap when you get into a competitive game, when you've got to put everything in every tackle. It will be interesting to see. I'm sure they are ready, they have been working hard in training, very focused. So, it is two new players for us."
