Timo Werner's short answer on whether he regrets rejecting Liverpool and joining Chelsea

Timo Werner has talked about his decision to sign for Chelsea instead of Liverpool last summer. The Reds were frequently linked with the striker last summer while he was at RB Leipzig, where he scored 34 goals in the 2019/20 season. However, in the end they opted not to move for Werner and instead moved on to sign Diogo Jota from Wolves on a long-term deal. Despite a disappointing spell at Chelsea Werner’s season did however end on a high after he helped the Blues win the Champions League. Werner told Bild, via football.london : "I have often asked myself: was it right, was it wrong? "Now I can say that it was the right step and the best decision."
