Tierney, Aubameyang, Ozil: Arsenal injury news and return dates ahead of Manchester City

After the international break, Arsenal will be preparing to play against Manchester City on Saturday, October 17. Before going to international break the Gunners celebrated a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United. Ahead of the game against City, football.london have taken a look at the injury list of Arsenal players. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Aubameyang has not reported for international duty as he sustained an ankle injury during the Gunners' 2-1 win over Sheffield United. However, as spotted in Wednesday's training session, Aubameyang was present along with Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Alexandre Lacazette. Kieran Tierney Tierney isn't currently injured, however, he has been advised to self-isolate for 14 days after coming into close contact with a COVID-positive team-mate while on international duty. Mesut Ozil Ozil has been left out of Arsenal's matchday squads so far and it is understood that it's down to tactics rather than him having some sort of injury. Pablo Mari Pablo Mari remains unavailable with an injury to his left ankle. Likely return for the defender could be the Europa League clash against Rapid Vienna on Thursday, October 22. Sokratis The defender hasn't played for Arsenal so far and has been tipped to leave the club this summer. However, he remains with the club and is fit to be in the squad. Calum Chambers Chambers has been out with a serious knee injury since the end of December. The defender is aiming to be back in full training after the international break and it is likely that he will be ready to play at the end of the month, if not sooner. Shkodran Mustafi Mustafi suffered a hamstring injury during FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City last season. Like Chambers, Mustafi is set to return to full training after international break. Gabriel Martinelli Martinelli underwent surgery on his knee in June and currently he is working on recovering. Arsenal hope that he would make his return before 2020 is over, however, there is a possibility that Martinelli will have to wait until 2021 to make his return. source - Football.London Join us on Telegram
