Three possible Jurgen Klopp replacements as Premier League struggles continue

Liverpool are currently having a tough period of time. Jurgen Klopp, who has been with the club since 2015, could be on the verge of leaving his post as the head coach.

Klopp has guided the Reds to three Champions League finals one of which they celebrated a victory. The Reds have also won Premier League as well as FA Cup and Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and so on under the German manager.

However, 2022/2023 season started on a bad note and the Reds are currently 8th in the Premier League table. Their Champions League campaign isn't going well either as they suffered a 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the round of 16 first leg game at Anfield on Tuesday after leading 2-0 in the first minutes of the first-half.

So let's take a look at managers who could be a good choice to replace Klopp at Liverpool if the club decide to part ways with the German manager.

Steven Gerrard

Whenever there is talk about managerial change at Liverpool, Steven Gerrard's name is always mentioned in the topic.

Gerrard has been a manager at Rangers and has guided the Gers to a Scottish Premiership title without defeats. Gerrard's side became SPL champions after 10 years of Celtic's reign. Following his success at Rangers, Gerrard became a manager at Aston Villa, however, didn't have the same success as he did with the Scottish side.

Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel is currently without a club after Chelsea parted ways with him in the summer. Tuchel left the Blues after having won Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup in just a couple of months. The German manager departed the Blues with a record of 60 wins, 24 draws, and 16 defeats in 100 games. His experience with the Premier League would be a great help at Liverpool.

Pochettino is also currently without a club as his last club was PSG. The 50-year-old also has an experience in the Premier League as he coached Tottenham from 2014-2019 and Southampton from 2013 to 2014. With Spurs, Pochettino guided the team to 2018/19 Champions League final however they lost to Liverpool.
