Three players Tottenham should target in the January transfer window

Tottenham have signed seven players during the summer transfer window. But the club will already be looking to future windows with Gareth Bale and Vinicius only on loan deals which will expire at the end of the campaign. There is still a shortage of depth at right-back and in the heart of the defence, while the club will still be keen on bringing in a new striker to support Harry Kane. Here are three players who Spurs could end up pursuing in the January transfer window, according to Football.London. Willi Orban has been one of Bundesliga’s most consistent performers in recent years, helping RB Leipzig to become the domestic powerhouse they are today. Now aged 28, he is at an age profile whereby he is entering his peak and would have at least another three or four seasons at the top level. Orban is the second-highest central defensive performer in Europe’s top five leagues this season (via Whoscored.com). Danilo D'Ambrosio of Inter Milan is one of those, whose contractual situation is likely to alert officials at Tottenham. The 32-year-old is out of contract in Milan at the end of the current campaign and will be free to talk to other clubs in January. He is a quick, energetic, and offensive full-back. Moussa Marega, who has scored 61 goals for FC Porto since the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign, is out of contract next summer and could be available in a cut-price deal this January. He is likely to be a striker who is happy to be played in a rotation system and primarily be a back-up to Kane.
