Three Liverpool players out as Jurgen Klopp gives update on Sadio Mane and James Milner

Sadio Mane and James Milner will come into contention for the upcoming Liverpool’s clash with Norwich City on Saturday, however, Xherdan Shaqiri is yet to return to the first-team fold. Milner hasn’t featured since sustaining a muscle issue during the FA Cup third round win over Everton five weeks ago, while Mane limped out of the Premier League win at Wolves on January 23 with a hamstring problem. Both restart full training at the start of this week, and ahead of the Premier League clash at Norwich Klopp said: “Of course they are in contention, that’s clear. "When Millie and Sadio are back, you start thinking immediately (about using them). That’s how it is. “They trained both from Monday on and they trained both through last week anyway. They are in contention.” The Reds return to their Champions League campaign next week, when they take on Atletico Madrid in Spain on Tuesday in their round of 16 first leg clash, and Klopp believes they can maintain a full-strength squad throughout a period of nine games in 36 days. “It looks like, and I hope it stays like this, apart from Shaqiri, Clyne and Glatzel, all players are in training,” said the German. “We have some good options and we have to hope it stays like this.
