Thomas Tuchel delivers title verdict following Chelsea draw with Wolves

New Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has spoken out on the Premier League title challenge this season. Tuchel was appointed as the Blues head coach on Tuesday after Frank Lampard was relieved from his managerial role on Monday. Tuchel's first game as the Blues head coach was against Wolves on Wednesday, which ended in a goalless draw. Following the game, the Blues are currently 8th in the league table with 30 points. "We have to be realistic," Tuchel said when asked if his team could challenge for top spot as early as this season. "Honestly, when you sign for Chelsea, you are absolutely right that you sign for the expectations to challenge for a title. "It is absolutely clear but at the same time, we have to be realistic." "We deserved to win for the effort and desire the team put in but I told the dressing room that there is no room for doubts or disappointments," he added. "I was happy with the performance and intensity, we didn't allow counter-attacks and were brave with courage. "I see a talented group of players who are totally open to our ideas, beliefs and tactical approach." source - Express / Join us on Telegram
