Thomas Tuchel claims Chelsea star is not setting high enough standards for himself

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel thinks Ruben Loftus-Cheek can reach new heights if it was not for his accepting lower standards for himself. The 25-year-old have already cemented his place as a reliable option at Chelsea after his surprise inclusion in the first-team squad at the start of the season. And Tuchel sees him as a No.6 or a No.8 and this has helped Loftus-Cheek rediscover his form.
"That’s why he plays for us. Otherwise, there is no chance to play in midfield for us if you’re not in a good place mentally and physically,” the Bues boss told Chelsea TV.   “He’s been very strong, since day one, and he’s absolutely aware of his potential.   “But with him, I think it’s not about potential, it’s about setting the standard every single match and pushing the limits.   “Because I think he still accepts the limits [which are not for him]. We want him to constantly set a new standard.”
