Thierry Henry has revealed that Daniel Ek is ‘here to stay’ amid a failed Arsenal takeover bid earlier this summer.
The CEO of Spotify was heavily linked with a takeover from the Kroenke family earlier this year, however, the deal never materialised.
After Arsenal's north London derby win over Tottenham, Gunners legend Henry suggested that Ek has not given up on his hopes of buying the north London outfit.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, the Frenchman said:
“To be able to get there, you need to have someone to respond on either side, it didn’t happen yet. We, he, is here to stay. Let’s see what’s going to happen.
“For the moment, we enjoyed obviously the win yesterday.
“I think it’s going to be long. I think you remember me saying it’s going to be long. How long it’s going to be, I don’t actually know but we are here to stay.”
Ek was also spotted in attendance at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday as the Gunners beat 3-1 their north London rivals to move above them in the Premier League table.
