Thiago Alcantara explains what he did after that Richarlison tackle

Thiago Alcantara has admitted he still needs to adapt since joining Liverpool from Bayern Munich last summer. After sustaining a serious leg injury at the hands of Richarlison in the Merseyside derby back in October, in the same game that saw Virgil van Dijk effectively ruled out for the season, the Spaniard found himself sidelined for two months and was unable to make his first appearance at Anfield until mid-January as a result. Earlier this week Richarlison claimed that Thiago had ignored his attempts at an apology on social media after the game, with the challenge at Goodison earning him a red card for his troubles. And while the 29-year-old did not address the Brazilian's claims, he has revealed how he reacted after suffering the setback. "It was a bad time because I expected to be on the pitch before I was," he said. "But it was a period to learn more. "More things about the club and more things about the city." Liverpool are set to play on Saturday against Arsenal as the Premier League actions resumes. Source- LiverpoolECHO Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
