'They have shown us' - Thomas Tuchel makes Liverpool title admission at Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel is not willing to get carried away after Saturday's win as he compared his side to Liverpool and Manchester City. The Chelsea boss believes that his team are yet to impove better in order to reach the level of City and Liverpool. Tuchel's side currently sit top of the Premier League table after 8 games played. Plenty of pundits backed the Blues to claim the EPL crown this season following the summer arrival of Romelu Lukaku, but Tuchel only thinks this will be possible if they learn lessons from the Reds and Sky Blues' past title triumphs.

“In general, Liverpool and Manchester City have proved throughout the last years that they are the benchmark in terms of quality and consistency," said Tuchel.   “They have shown us in the last years what it takes to be able to become champions.   "It was a race between the two teams and this is the benchmark and we have to improve in every aspect of the game - that includes defence and offence - because the game is a complex one. We will not stop trying to create more for our strike.”
