Gary Neville has revealed that he is "not a great believer" that Liverpool’s front three are "done".
The Reds faced a hard season, though later managing to secure their place in the Premier League top-four.
Neville believes Jurgen Klopp's side "deserved" to dip this term because of the performances they had in recent years while speaking about the club's front three, he told
Super Sunday on Sky Sports:
“I am not a great believer in this fact that the front three are done. I still think their performances at a really high level.
“They have performed at such a high level for so many years. Sprinting a million miles that team.
“They deserved a season where they just dipped a little bit. I have no problem with Liverpool dipping a little bit this season. Man City did it last season. No issue with it.
“Great teams do that every two or three years.”
