"There was interest": Agent speaks on Donny van de Beek Manchester United situation amid exit talks

Donny van de Beek's agent Guido Albers has opened on his client's situation at Manchester United, claiming the player "loves the game" and "wants to be on the pitch every week". The 24-year-old has failed to secure his place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-team squad, since making a move to Old Trafford last summer. He has been linked with the move to a number of clubs amid his limited playing time, though ended up staying with the Red Devils. "There was interest from Italy, Germany, England... so that looked good. But you need the cooperation of the club, and it looked like they would, but they didn't. Disappointing, but also reassuring for him," Van De Beek's agent said (via utdreport). "He will get his chance, and will get his minutes, but this will become clear in due time. He's been promised that before, but we came to a clear agreement about this with the club, so we have all faith that it will happen now." Then Albers added: "Is he happy or disappointed? I won't say. But everybody who knows Donny knows he loves the game and he wants to be on the pitch every week. So from this answer you can probably tell what he wanted most."  Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
