“The whole world against us”: Everton fans REACT as Martin Atkinson appointed for the Merseyside DERBY

Martin Atkinson will referee the Merseyside Derby between Everton and Liverpool on Monday. He will be supported by Anthony Taylor (VAR). The 48-year-old referee has a long history with Everton supporters after showing Jack Rodwell a red card for a tackle on Luis Suarez in the same fixtures in 2011. Atkinson further enraged Everton after allowing Manchester City’s goal to stand in the Capital One Cup semi-final second leg at the Etihad in 2016. Everton fans are not happy with this appointment.
