Manchester City have eyed Valencia winger Ferran Torres for the summer transfer window, according to
The Times.
City have overturned UEFA's two-year ban from the Champions League. Now they will be ready to sign new players for the next season, with the club eager to bring the Premier League title back to Etihad.
The report claims that Pep Guardiola's side have targeted Valencia winger amid the interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Ajax, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool were heavily linked with the 20-year-old, whose contract with the Spanish side expires in the summer of 2021.
However, City are likely to win the race, with the club
representatives and
Torres’ agent looking to meet and discuss the move of the winger. The latter is keen to play under Pep Guardiola.
