The six Tottenham players Mourinho could allow to leave in the final days of the January window

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho could allow six players to leave the club in the final days of the January transfer window, according to Football.london. Mourinho must balance the need to trim a bloated Spurs squad with the prospect of injuries and a fixture pile-up. Spurs are unlikely to bring in any players during this window unless an unexpected player departs. The main action will be in outgoing moves, expected to be loans. Danny Rose, Gedson Fernandes, Dele Alli, Paulo Gazzaniga, George Marsh and Anthony Georgiou are all expected to leave the club and most of them on loan. While Georgiou expected to complete a permanent move to Cypriot side AEL Limassol this week and George Marsh, whose contract currently expires in the summer are almost certainly on their ways out of the club, the other four players' future is not certain. Rose has just six months left on his contract and has not been listed to play in the Premier League or Europa League. Mourinho said this month that he does not know what will happen with Rose but the left-back certainly can't go an entire season without playing. Fernandes had been unfortunate during his loan move that the club's foreign player issues meant he could not register for the Europa League. Spurs are clearly not going to pay any permanent fee to keep Gedson and it could yet benefit both Benfica. Any loan move though would have to be one that does not strengthen a rival during the business end to the season. Gazzaniga has dropped down the pecking order at Tottenham since Joe Hart's arrival. Tottenham were willing to allow the goalkeeper to leave in the summer and will not stand in his way this month should a suitable offer arrive for him.
