Everton have made progress in their attempts to sign Lille defender, labelled as "New Virgil van Dijk", according to The Guardian.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old for months, and the report claims that Carlo Ancelotti's side are progressing in bringing the player to Goodison Park.
Gianluca Di Marzio even reported recently that the defender actually underwent a medical with the Premier League side before the coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, Foot Mercato reported that Tottenham joined the race for the player.
Now Everton are eager to strengthen the defence and will be looking to win the rivalry for the Brazilian professional.
