John Wenham has raved about Oliver Skipp, claiming Tottenham youngster is "the future" of the current team.
Wenham was impressed by the Spurs' player's performance during the club's 3 - 2 win over Newcastle at the weekend.
“Skipp was probably the man of the match against Newcastle,” he told
Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He screened our back four really well and transitioned with the ball really well.
“It was no surprise to me to see him come straight back in, we looked an awful lot better.
“I’ve said before, I think he is the future of this Tottenham team and he proves it every time he plays.
“From next season he will count as homegrown and club trained, he’s such a valuable asset.
“A midfield three of Skipp, Hojbjerg and Ndombele, as long as he plays as he did on Sunday, is really exciting.”
