The Express: Newcastle have opened talks with Koulibaly, Cavani and Fekir

Newcastle are on the verge of a £300million takeover by a consortium led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which will own 80% of the club. The chairman of PIF, Crown Prince bin Salman, is described as the power behind the throne of his father, King Salmanis. Once the takeover of the club is completed, the Magpies could be about to spend big this summer. They will be eyeing three huge transfers. According to Footmercato, they opened talks with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who would cost in the region of £70m. Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis is open to selling his player. Moreover, the Magpies ready to offer a massive contract to PSG star Edinson Cavani. Newcastle are also interested in signing Real Betis forward Nabil Fekir. Fekir's deal with the club expires in 2023 and he could cost in the region of £44m. Source: Express
