Manchester City legend Paul Lake has claimed Ederson is the most exceptional passing goalkeeper in the history of the game.
The Brazil international's arrival at the club in 2017 for a fee of £35 million brought about a significant change for City. His signing marked a turning point for the club, with his ball-playing ability proving to be exceptional right from the start.
Ederson possesses the capability to execute a wide range of passes, often likened to that of a midfielder when he is in possession. On numerous occasions, he has demonstrated his skill in launching the ball forward and creating scoring opportunities for his teammates.
"He’s the best passer of a ball as a goalkeeper the game has ever seen," Lake said of Ederson in the official programme on Saturday, via Manchester City News.
"When I bump into former City goalkeepers Joe Corrigan and Alex Williams, they all say the same. He can float a pass and make it look like he’s flying a drone! And let’s not forget what an excellent shot-stopper he is.”
