Reece James is close to making his return from injury for Chelsea ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup campaign, according to the Athletic. James has been out with a hamstring injury since December 29 when the Blues played a 1-1 draw with Brighton. The Blues will begin the Club World Cup on February 9 with a semi-final game against one of Al Hilal SFC, Al Jazira or Auckland City FC. But before the Club World Cup semi-final, Thoams Tuchel's side will face Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup 4th round on February 5. However, it may likely be too soon for James' return.
