The Athletic journalists provide update on Ralf Rangnick to Manchester United links

The Athletic journalists Laurie Whitwell and Adam Crafton have provided an update on Ralf Rangnick amid Manchester United links. The duo have revealed some details, informing that John Murtough rang Rangnick on Sunday to discuss the German's possible move to Old Trafford. This time United were understood to search for an ultra-technical and tactical coach rather than someone that focuses on motivational aspects like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did.  Negotiations continued and had a significant result on Wednesday night. Now, according to The Athletic's report, Rangnick is set to meet Solskjaer's backroom staff and assess the shape of his support team. He will be allowed to add a couple of his own trusted assistants. The 63-year-old is also understood to have requested a video analyst.
