Paul Pogba is leaning towards signing a new contract with Manchester United, according to the Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

The France international has 12 months left on his current deal with the Red Devils amid reported interest from Real Madrid and PSG.

Ornstein writes that the talks over the contract extension are set to resume, with the transfer window already closed. In case of failed negotiations, Pogba could be on his way away from Old Trafford as a free agent next year.

However, things seem to change after the transfers of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and the arrival of the club’s former star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The journalist claims that Pogba, who has already managed to provide seven assists in four games this term, could decide on putting pen to paper at United again.
