The Telegraph. Kroenke has opened up about Unai Emery's dinner with the Arsenal board

It was before Christmas that Arsenal’s new head coach Unai Emery hosted a special dinner with Josh Kroenke, a club director and the son of owner Stan Kroenke, managing director Vinai Venkatesham and the new director of football Raul Sanllehi. In an exclusive interview with TheTelegraph, Kroenke opened up on the meeting and suggested that Emery will be at Arsenal for the long term. "We had a wonderful meal and talked about the journey we are on. It felt good to look into people’s eyes and know you are on the same page," he told the Telegraph. "As a group we are unified. We have obviously been through a period of change following a manager leaving after 22 years. A lot of things come along with a transition of that magnitude. We knew this would be a process and, overall, I think we are pleased with our progress. "I think if you look at where we were 12 months ago, you can see we were probably transitioning towards a North American or continental European model where there is a lot of support around the head coach. That job is so massive." Arsenal prepare to take on Manchester City in an away game at Etihad on Sunday.
