Telegraph: Chelsea set to make a bid for Kai Havertz

Chelsea are reportedly set to make a bid for Bayer Leverkusen player Kai Havertz, according to the Telegraph. Leverkusen failed to qualify for the Champions League and the Blues will now make their move for the talented star. The Blues have already signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, meaning that it would be a massive show of intent if they bought Havertz in as well. Lampard insisted in the week that no bid for the Germany international had been lodged but, despite that, his body language gave the game away. Bayer Leverkusen want £80 million for the German, but after they failed to qualify for the Champions League, Havertz could be available for a lower price this summer. Source: chelsea-news
