Tanganga can become a WORLD CLASS defender: Mourinho’s past experience in Madrid PROVES it

No one knew him before the match, now at least Sadio Mane and Mo Salah know him.  Those were Jose Mourinho’s comments on Japhet Tanganga after 20-year-old’s solid debut for Spurs.  Tanganga managed to record 8 clearances, 2 tackles, 2 interceptions and 80 % pass success rate. Considering the fact that he played in two different positions during the match, Mourinho was right to give him another chance in the FA Cup third round replay against Middlesbrough.  And young starlet was again on fire to be voted the Player of the Match.  Tanganga could become another world class defender under Mourinho. Portuguese has already given the football world Rafael Varane.  When having Sergio Ramos, Pepe and Ricardo Carvalho back in 2012/13 season, Jose’s not afraid to give 19-year-old Frenchman a chance to show his qualities on the pitch.  And Madrid fans were shocked to see the future World Cup champion playing so well and showing confidence on the pitch.  Varane won his place in the starting lineup and even scored against Barcelona in Copa Del Rey to knock Messi and co out from the tournament.  26-year-old France international has already won everything in club level and the World Cup with his national team in 2018.  "Mourinho doesn't need to give long speeches," Varane said earlier (quoted by the Independent). "He's direct and to the point. What he said to me was for my own good. Without regular pressure like that, I can tend to rest on my laurels." Tanganga’s debut was memorable and no doubt, he has the potential to become Tottenham’s leading defender.
