Why Sunday could be a decisive day for Arsenal target?
According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon.
Pavon, 22, has moved to Boca from Talleres in 2013 for just £1 m. He then became one of the key players for his club and has won two domestic titles.
However, the biggest event for Pavon’s club career is yet to happen. Boca Juniors will play against River Plate in Copa Libertadores finals second leg. First leg ended with 2-2 draw.
Pavon was a target for Arsenal, Manchester City and Barcelona. However, Argentine international has announced he will not leave Boca Juniors, if he doesn’t win Copa Libertadores title.
This is the reason why Arsenal will watch the match and follow the events in Argentina.
Gunners head of football Raul Sanllehi is a big fan of Pavon and initial talks have happened over the possible deal, according to football.london.
Another reports suggest that Boca Juniors striker has a £44.5 m release clause in his contract.
