Stiliyan Petrov sends a message to Celtic amid the situation with head coach

Former Celtic midfielder Stiliyan Petrov insists Scottish champions should be clear on the managerial situation. Neil Lennon, who has replaced Brendan Rodgers in mid-season, is close to win a domestic treble, which, however, doesn't secure him a permanent job. Petrov praises Lennon and says he can do a good job with the team. "I hope he (Lennon) gets the job and is given the support of the club." Petrov said (via Daily Record), mentioning, that he can still find a job with such results, if Celtic don't appoint him on permanent basis. Bulgarian international, who has played for Celtic from 1999 to 2006, has brought his personal example, when Gordon Strachan took charge of the club in 2005. "He (Strachan) kept me at the club then brought Shunsuke Nakamura and Maciej Zurawski and in the second season we were very good because he was given time to put plans in place." Petrov added, insisting, that Celtic should decide quickly whether they want Lennon or they will go for a new manager, because there will be no much time to prepare for European season and either Lennon or the next possibly manager should be ready for the changes. Celtic have been recently linked with Slaven Bilic, Jose Mourinho, Rafa Benitez and David Moyes. Source - Daily Record
