Steven Gerrard’s Rangers reportedly facing huge task in hunt for free agent target

Rangers are facing some stiff competition to bring Vaclav Hladky to Ibrox this summer, according to The Scottish Sun. Steven Gerrard wants to sign Hladky on a free transfer this summer. The 29-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract at St. Mirren this summer and is becoming a free agent. However, The Scottish Sun claims, German club Fortuna Dusseldorf have made contact with the Czech’s representatives and have registered their interest. As many as three clubs from England have also made their interest known in the former Slovan Liberec player. Allan McGregor will remain the first-choice goalkeeper at Ibrox next season, but Gerrard does need to bring in a suitable player who will challenge for a regular spot in the starting lineup.
