Steven Gerrard’s first comments on Scott Brown and Morelos red card
Rangers FC head coach Steven Gerrard has spoken out on Alfredo Morelos incident and Scott Brown after the Old Firm Derby.
Celtic have beaten their rivals 2-1 due to goals from Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest. Ryan Kent was the only one from Rangers to find an answer against Neil Lennon’s side.
Alfredo Morelos has been sent off in the first half after hitting Brown.
"You're playing against a player who loves to antagonise. Morelos and Kent are both provoked” Gerrard told media during post-match press-conference (via Daily Mirror).
"Celtic fans have the right to celebrate but to do it right in your race, Halliday has the right to protect his own people.
"The guy who antagonised it all from the beginning deserves to be punished as well.” he added.
