Steve Kerr hoping NBA would allow ‘minicamp’ for teams not participating in return

Golden State Warriors are one of the eight NBA teams, whose season came to an abrupt end after the league announced of 22-team format starting on June 31 at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. And the team's head coach Steve Kerr is hoping that NBA will consider letting the eliminated teams to still hold practices and mini-camps for preparation ahead of 2020-2021 season. “The one thing that we are interested in is doing some kind of a minicamp if the league will allow it. Otherwise, eight months is a long time to go without any basketball at all. And that’s what it would be,” Kerr told The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami. “We’d like to get together for some kind of minicamp or two. I’m thinking that the league will allow us to do something, especially given that 22 teams are gonna be playing and eight of us are not. I’m fairly certain the league will allow the other eight teams to do some practicing at some point whenever the time is right.” source - ClutchPoints
