Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has spoken out on the start of the 2021 NBA season. Curry missed most of the 2019/20 season due to a hand injury and when he made his return the season was put on hold due to COVID-19.
When the season restarted, Curry and the Warriors were not part of the bubble as the Warriors finished at the last place of the table.
So when a fan asked Curry about his thoughts on the restart, he said: “This is kinda funny. Do you care if the season starts early, honestly? Of course I care. Of course I want to play basketball. It’s what I love to do. Compete, be out there with my teammates. The fans obviously wanna see some basketball too. So, there are many variables at play.
“But of course I want to play basketball. This has been the longest 7 months of waiting. Even watching the bubble, it’s tough. Definitely ready to get back out there and play.”
