Stephen Curry reveals ‘nerdy stuff’ he learned from Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki

Golden State Warriors suffered a 82-99 defeat to Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Ahead of the game Warriors' superstar Curry was asked about Mavs legend Nowitzki and laughed at the moment the two shared on the court during the 2015 All-Star game. Curry threw up an alley-oop lob to Nowitzki, who slammed it home. But Steph Curry thinks of the “nerdy stuff” he learned from the Mavs legend.

“Even towards the end, when Father Time starts to catch up with you and your body changes a little bit, that shot never wavers,” Curry said.   He also described himself as a student of the various Nowitzki training techniques that have been documented on video alongside his longtime shooting guru Holger Geschwindner.   “All the nerdy stuff,” Curry said, “that goes into shooting a basketball.”
