Stephen Curry has made a brilliant claim on feeling like a church leader after the Golden State Warriors’ preseason win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
In a post-match press conference, the Warriors star hilariously admitted he was feeling rather ‘lazy’ as if he was in front of a Sunday congregation.
Via 95.7 The Game c/o Reddit:
“Hey, guys, thanks for showing up today,” the Warriors star nonchalantly said.
“I feel like a congregation leader in like Monroe, North Carolina on a lazy 8:30 a.m. Service on Sunday. Might get $22 in the collection plate. You got any announcements today? No Sister Clarence? No, okay.”
Curry is obviously not an actual religious leader, but he’s been massively influential for the game of basketball and built up a pretty strong following of his own while doing it.
